"Is the Bible the only gospel of salvation?"
Letter to the Editor:
GOD’S MESSAGE, October – December 1994, p.2-3
I NOTICE THAT you always base all your teachings on the Bible. Since my childhood years, the Bible has been always a puzzle to me. Why is the Bible so popular?
According to you, it is the word of God. But what about the other sacred books where other religions are based, such as the Koran for Islam, the Tripitaka for Buddhism, the Vedas for the Brahmans, the King for Confucians? These books also teach man all he needs to know how to lead a life of peace and prosperity, to endure extreme hardship, and attain salvation. How can you prove that the gospel of salvation is only in the Bible?

Editor’s Reply:
There is only one true God and only this true God is the source of the truth. The Bible was written by the prophets and the apostles under the inspiration of God as can be read in II Timothy 3:16-17:
“All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.” (KJV)
This one true God did not order the writing of any other book of salvation aside from the Bible. In fact, Apostle Paul condemned any teaching that was different from what the apostles taught, teachings which they learned from our Lord Jesus Christ who was sent by God to bring His message to man. Apostle Paul says:
“But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you other than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.” (Galatians 1:8-9 KJV)

“Do not let unwholesome [foul, profane, worthless, vulgar] words ever come out of your mouth, but only such speech as is good for building up others, according to the need and the occasion, so that it will be a blessing to those who hear [you speak].”

“Love endures with patience and serenity, love is kind and thoughtful, and is not jealous or envious; love does not brag and is not proud or arrogant. It is not rude; it is not self-seeking, it is not provoked [nor overly sensitive and easily angered]; it does not take into account a wrong endured.”
(1 Corinthians 13:4-5, Amplified Bible)
