The Truth about Salvation

“The time will come when people will not listen to sound doctrine, but will follow their own desires and will collect for themselves more and more teachers who will tell them what they are itching to hear.” (II Timothy 4:3 GNT, Emphasis Mine)
Christianity is a religion with over 2.4 billion followers worldwide. It is a diverse faith composed of thousands of denominations, such as Pentecostal, Presbyterian, Lutheran, Baptist, Methodist, Adventist—the list goes on. The Center for the Study of Global Christianity estimates that there are over 45,000 denominations globally, with more than 200 in the United States alone. Each denomination has its own unique set of beliefs and doctrines, especially when it comes to how one can achieve salvation. These variations in beliefs include faith alone, taking Christ as one’s personal Lord and Savior, saved by grace and not by works, and even the idea that church membership is not important for salvation, despite the fact that they themselves are members of a particular church. Some even claim that all one needs is to be “born again,” that baptism by water is unnecessary, and that one can simply be baptized by the Holy Spirit alone, adding to the complexity of the many ways to attain salvation. Many religious leaders argue that salvation has many paths that all lead to the same destination, so one does not need to worry so much about church affiliation or give much heed to biblical doctrine as long as one has faith in God and is a good person with good moral standing, and recognizes Christ as his Savior, he will be saved. However, the question is whether any of the above beliefs or teachings align with the Holy Scriptures. In the following articles below, we will explore the many misconceptions of these beliefs, with the Holy Scriptures serving as the sole arbitrator to expose these dangerous faiths that lead to perdition.

The True Church ― (The Third Group Of Christ)

THERE ARE THREE GROUPS that comprise the true Church Of Christ, which TWO have already been called in the First Century Chruch Of Christ; THE THIRD is to emerge in the FUTURE by biblical prophecy that will take place in a distant time and place which is none other…

Church Membership Not Required? (A very deadly belief)

MAINSTREAM CHRISTIANITY has a very wide range of doctrinal positions from one denomination to the other on how one can be saved, but one of the main things the majority have in common is their agreement that church membership is not of great importance for one to be saved. Is this biblical?

The Protestants’ View Of The Church

Did Christ Have To Be God So He Can Pay For Our Sins?

SOME DETRACTORS of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church of Christ) use the subject matter “Salvation” to establish that something is amiss in this Church’s belief that Christ is not God.
“If Jesus was just a man and not God,” they argue, “then why would His death be sufficient to forgive the sins of many people in the entire world?” Believing that only…

Membership in the True Church: an Inseparable "Partner" of Faith

THE DOCTRINE THAT we, Church of Christ members, uphold regarding the need for a person to enter this Church in order to be saved is unwelcome to many. To begin with, people think that this doctrine was only concocted or made up by the ministers of the Church of Christ. They dismiss…

God planned the Church to be Christ's way to effect salvation

WHEN SIN CAME into the world, humankind fell from God’s grace, lost the privilege to serve Him, and was appointed by Him to punishment on Judgment Day (Rom. 5:12; Isa. 59:2; Rom. 3:19; Heb. 9:27).
However, God gives humanity the chance to regain what it has lost…

The ONLY True Church

ISN’T FAITH AND a personal relationship with the Creator what matters most and not formal organization or ‘religion”?” This question, oftenly asked today, reveals a popular assumption that religion is only a matter of the heart. And, in a modern multicultural society, anyone who would say otherwise is taken to be narrow-minded and unenlightened…
